An Event 19 Years in the Making
The Guthrie, Oklahoma Knights of St. Andrew, with assistance from the St. Louis, Missouri Chapter, will host the first ever National Gathering of Knights in conjunction with the Guthrie Valley Spring Reunion, March 30 – April 1, 2012. KSA members, as well as knights from other “Black Cap” Scottish Rite service organizations from across the nation, are invited to participate.

The Iowa Scottish Rite Masonic Foundation in eastern Iowa has made grant funding made available over the past few years which has resulted in speech-language services being provided, at no cost, not only to children and adults at the St. Ambrose University Rite Care Clinic on the campus of St. Ambrose University in Davenport IA, but also to children attending preschool and daycare programs through community organizations in the area.

On Tuesday, October 18, 2011, the House of the Temple celebrated its 100-year anniversary of the cornerstone laying. It was conducted according to ancient custom by members of the Grand Lodge of the District of Columbia, assisted by officers from the Grand Lodge of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Grand Lodge of Maryland. Sunday, October 16, 2011, the House of the Temple began a 3 day kickoff to the centennial of the laying of the cornerstone. Special guided tours were held covering the Masonic symbolism and Pope’s vision for the House of the Temple.
