About – Scottish Rite Research Society
About the Society
The Scottish Rite Research Society is a organization committed to publishing scholarly research on Freemasonry. Chartered by the Supreme Council, 33°, Ancient And Accepted Scottish Rite, S.J., the organization has grown to over 3,000 members worldwide and has become one of the most dynamic forces in contemporary Masonic research, pursuing a publication program that emphasizes quality—both in content and in physical form.
Membership is open to all individuals, Freemasons and non-Freemasons, and done through an annual subscription basis. (Life memberships are also available). Learn more about membership here.
The society produces two major publications: Heredom, the society’s flagship journal, and The Plumbline, a quarterly digital newsletter. Bonus materials are also shipped out annually on an adhoc basis. The SRRS publication team welcomes researchers to submit papers to the journals at anytime. Learn more about submitting a paper for publication here.
