The competition for the scholarships sponsored by the Supreme Council, 33°, Southern Jurisdiction, for this year concluded on April 1, 2013. We are pleased to announce the recipients of these scholarships, in alphabetical order, for the 2013-2014 school year as follows:

The following scholarship programs are sponsored by the Supreme Council, and through these programs, provide scholarships each year to worthy students who meet the academic and community service requirements.
**Please note these programs are available to United States citizens only for study at schools within the United States.**

Sovereign Grand Commander’s Scholarship
Scholarship Amount:
- Amount awarded will vary
Eligibility:
- No Masonic background required
- Accepted enrollment at accredited institutions authorized to grant degrees in the United States
Required Documentation:
- Completed application
- Transcripts of course grades
- Three (3) letters of recommendation
Application Deadline:
- All relevant materials must be mailed by April 1
Sam and Millie Hilburn Scholarship
Scholarship Amount:
- $5,000 per year for a maximum of two years
Eligibility:
- No Masonic background required
- Accepted enrollment at accredited institutions authorized to grant degrees in the field of Childhood Language Disorders
Required Documentation:
- Completed application
- Transcripts of course grades
- Not more than four (4) letters of recommendation
Application Deadline:
- All relevant materials must be mailed by April 1
Public School Administration Scholarship
Scholarship Amount:
- $6,000 per year for two years
Eligibility:
- No Masonic background required
- Mid-career individuals committed to public school education
- M.A. or M.S. Degree
Required Documentation:
- Completed application
- Transcripts of College, University, and Graduate Records
- Not more than six (6) letters of recommendation
Application Deadline:
- All relevant materials must be mailed by April 1
Shepherd Scholarship
Scholarship Amount:
- $1,500 per year for a maximum of four years
Eligibility:
- No Masonic background required
- Accepted enrollment at an accredited institution in the United States
Required Documentation:
- Completed application
- Transcripts of course grades
- Not more than four (4) letters of recommendation
Application Deadline:
- All relevant materials must be mailed by April 1

Scottish Rite Endowment Graduate Fellowship For Study Exclusively at GWU
Scholarship Amount:
- $15,000 (Full-time)
Eligibility:
- Affiliation with a U.S. Scottish Rite organization required
- U.S. citizenship required
- Acceptance by and intent to study full- or part-time on the Foggy Bottom campus of GWU in a master’s or doctoral program in one of the following schools: Elliott School of International Affairs, the School of Business, the School of Engineering and Applied Science, the Graduate School of Education and Human Development, the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Public Health and Health Services.
- Incoming or current students in one of the above graduate schools

Scottish Rite Undergraduate Scholarship Program for Study Exclusively at GWU
Scholarship Amount:
- Approximately 50% tuition (Full-time study required)
Eligibility:
- Affiliation with a U.S. Scottish Rite organization required
- U.S. citizenship required
- Acceptance by and intent to study full-time in any school or department of the university.
- Incoming or current students.

Scottish Rite/Bichan Scholarship
Scholarship Amount:
- $10,000 grant
Eligibility:
- No Masonic background required
- U.S. citizenship required
- Undergraduate or graduate student must be enrolled in Children’s Speech and Hearing Degree program

Scottish Rite Graduate Fellowships in Language Disorders
Scholarship Amount:
- $10,000 fellowship
Eligibiity:
- No Masonic background required
- U.S. citizenship required
- Graduate student must be enrolled in the Speech Language Pathology and/or Audiology Programs
