The Helena Scottish Rite has presented the Easter Tableaux for the general public in Montana for the past 63 years. The Tableaux depicts the last days of Jesus Christ through a series of historic scenes and actors, using the backdrops of the Scottish Rite. Eight different scenes from the life of Jesus from the Last Supper, all the way to the Ascension, are shown. Changes between scenes will be complimented by music performances.
In the past they had to turn people away due to popularity. Live near the Helena area? Go check it out. The Easter Tableaux will take place on Sunday, April 1 at the Masonic Temple, which is located at 15 North Jackson Street in Helena. The performances will be at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., and the event is free and open to the public.
