Congratulations to the winners of the Second Annual Scottish Rite Photography Contest! We asked to see portraits of fraternal life, and in return we received an impressive array of over 200 submissions documenting life in the fraternity. Photos featuring the Scottish Rite, Blue Lodge, Shrine, York Rite, DeMolay, and other Masonic bodies were all submitted.

Judges recognized 18 winners and the categories for entries included 1) Masonic People, 2) Masonic Places, 3) Masonic Things, and a Youth Category. All photographs had something to do with Freemasonry. Awards included both vintage and new Scottish Rite objects—from Masonic ties to a poster of the House of the Temple autographed by the artist and Grand Commander Seale. Judges selected finalists in each category from among all eligible entries based on the following criteria: creativity, 50%, and photographic quality, 50%. Enjoy the winning photos!

Keep taking pictures at your Masonic events and look for the third annual contest coming in January of 2012.
