Congratulations to the winners of the First Annual Scottish Rite Photography Contest. We asked to see portraits of fraternal life and in return, we received an impressive array of over 175 submissions documenting life in the fraternity. The Scottish Rite, Blue Lodge, Shrine, York Rite, DeMolay and other Masonic bodies were all submitted. Judges had a difficult decision, but they recognized 18 extraordinary winners. Entries were submitted in four categories: “People,” “Places,” Things & Objects,” and “House of the Temple”. Awards included both vintage and new Scottish Rite objects—from Masonic ties to a poster of the House of the Temple autographed by the artist and Grand Commander Seale.
Check back to our website for categories, rules, and details for the second annual contest, which kicks off in January 2011.
