Join us for Celebrating the Craft

May 19th, 2012, from 6:00 pm–Midnight EDT

Celebrating the Craft will be similar to a telethon but broadcast via the Internet on May 19, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to Midnight EDT. This web event will pay tribute to Freemasonry with entertainment, celebrities, humor, and educational programming. Programming will focus on several areas of interest to both brethren and non-members including:

  • Philanthropic – House of the Temple, RiteCare, scholarships, disaster relief.
  • Fraternal – history of the Scottish Rite, archive and museum items from the House of the Temple.
  • Membership – features and interviews with members on why they joined the Rite.

Special appearances by:

  • Ernest Borgnine (actor)
  • Brad Paisley (musician)
  • Dan Brown (author)
  • Pete Williams (newscaster)
  • S. Brent Morris (Masonic lecturer & author)
  • Arturo de Hoyos (Masonic lecturer & author)

Rendezvous group photographThroughout the web broadcast, musical entertainment will be provided by RENDEZVOUS. Rendezvous is one of the country’s premier entertainment groups. The band includes keyboards, bass, drums, guitar, saxophone, flute, clarinet, and female and male lead vocals. The strength of this group is its wide range of repertoire—truly a variety band spanning from the ’40s to contemporary styles with stunning authenticity. Rendezvous is comprised of true professionals who know how to create a fantastic party.

Brethren and supporters of the Scottish Rite will be able to donate to this event online, by text, by phone (toll-free, 855-289-4200), and on Facebook. Throughout the evening, we will broadcast fund-raising updates. Remember, for donations made during the web event on May 19, either online or called in, 50% of the net proceeds will benefit the Rebuilding the Temple Campaign to restore the House of the Temple and 50% will benefit Orient and/or Valley 501(c)(3) organizations.
